Exploring the Influence of Social Media on the Global Reception of Chinese Animation ‘Nezha’

Abstract
This paper explores the role of social media in the global dissemination of Chinese animated films, focusing on Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child. It examines how social media platforms facilitated global recognition and understanding of the film, enhancing Chinese cultural influence. Through qualitative research, including social media content analysis and interviews with 30 participants from diverse cultural backgrounds, the study identifies social media’s role in promoting Chinese culture, fostering cultural dialogues, and broadening the film's reception. Findings reveal that social media transcended cultural and language barriers, contributing to Nezha’s global success.
